Maybe there is a temporary mod we can install to make chest transportation easier?

Something like this? There might be a better one out there.

Can transport full chests that way.

I just made a couple of enderchests and hoofed it back and /home'd. It only took me about an hour to move everything. Reorganizing it all however was a huge pain in the butt.

I built a long tunnel between houses and lined it with stone bricks, , stone steps, minecart tracks, jack 'o lanterns and nether brick. The question is do I want to go back trough the tunnel and pull everything out. i estimate about 30K blocks. Yikes!

I am struggling with this as well.

My solution is to at some point rip out the rails and powered rails. The rest of the items are easily replaceable.

If I was you I would snag the sea lanterns in your guardian farm tunnel and maybe the two types of prismarine. Those are a real PITA to re-create and so easy to recover in this situation.

Quartz, glow and redstone used decoratively would also be high on my list for recovery.

I get the IT side of this all, but my concern is that this will feel more like singleplayer minecraft than a multiplayer environment. Sure there will be different modes and minigames eventually, but I will not spawn in an area filled with creativity - I'll have to be escorted to the pocketworld that contains what I want to see and among other things hope that person is on. If there are infinite pocketworld possibilities then that means that there are no guarantees on the stable playerbase settling on 1-3 pocketworlds.

I wish for a portal area that allows us to visit all populated pocketworlds or worlds where "hasclaim === true"

Else why don't we just play singleplayer and hang out on teamspeak and join for a hunger games like mode every now and then.

Again I get the IT side, but no one has really discussed the cultural ramifications at length.

We understand your concern and thought of this as well. We are relying on the players to build up a community and build and work together. Nothing is preventing others from joining you in your pocket world and build near you. Plus, nearly everyone I have talked to says they are waiting for their own personal pocket world, which Zhro is working on, instead of going through the random warp in order to get away from everyone. It seems that most people don't even want to build near each other, but that's just what I've observed. I hope the players get together to build up a community like New Era (hopefully without the lag) or something of the sort. I think after the first community conglomerates and sets an example, other communities will start to form as well. Perhaps you can be the one to start this chain of communities.

Tis a fair point Supert. A lot of the more expansive builds were built out far from anything.
I have quite a bit of claim blocks - perhaps I can set an example in a nice biome.
On towny I'm trying to build a town/nation into a mountain range but ran out of town blocks lol.

I had a thought, and I wanted to see if people would like it before I talked to Zhro about it.

In short, I would love to manage a town/city pocket world where people could build their fancy houses and community builds and keep the sense of community New Era gives without the lag. Eventually, trusted players could become community managers for this world.

I would lay out roads and paths, outline parks and other community things, and set up claimed plots. If you liked a plot, you would send me a message or leave me a book saying which plot you'd like, why, and what you plan to build there. If I like your plans, we would meet online and I'd delete the plot claim to allow you to claim it yourself.

The roads and paths would be named and labeled, and plots numbered so you could give somebody your address within the world! The spawn area would be a large, open flat area with some advertisement boards and other such things, and then around this area smaller homes fading back into larger ones. There would be space between each plot so that buildings don't end up right against each other, and to create alleys (where I can put some special encounters and such).

I won't impose any expected style of building, since I love seeing everybody's creativity at work! Plots would go from the minimum claim size (likely more common around the spawn point) to 50x50, but not much bigger. Larger claims may require you to pay for them by helping me with a public work or something similar. The only limit I would put in place is a height one, mostly to keep a nice skyline from a distance (probably no less than 40-50 blocks above ground level).

There would be farms that anybody could harvest, with the Community Managers trusted there to replant etc when needed. I would also build horse tracks and minigames scattered around.

All mob farms would be banned (do that sort of thing in another world!) and redstone clocks, item frames and other sources of lag would be highly discouraged. Auto shops would be banned as well, though traditional shops that require trading between online players would be encouraged.

I'd need to talk to Zhro about this plan to make sure he was okay with it and to get the world created, since I'd like the world border to be a bit larger than the default pocket worlds.

Would anyone be interested in such a world? Any concerns? I'd like to foster the community feeling that New Era and Spawn give on the current world, but keep things better managed.
